The Rain Dodger 40

The JP Motorsports crew ventured to their local track, Richmond Raceway, in Richmond, KY, on Saturday night May 17, for the 4th annual Rain Dodger 40. Tommy Bailey would qualify 5th overall in the 88 machine, earning him an inside 2nd row starting spot in heat #1 of the night. In the 10 lap heat, Bailey maneuvered his way to the second spot, & then claimed the lead heading into the final laps. His victory in the first heat put him on the pole of the 40 lap feature. In what initially began as a 20 car race, quickly became a much smaller race, due to a large 15 car pile up on the straight away between turns 2 & 3. Once racing commenced, Bailey still was the race's leader. However, he was unable to grasp that lead & fell to 2nd, where he would finish the night. The team couldn't be more proud of Tommy. He put on a great show. We are confident that this is just a small glimpse of the great things that are to come. Congrats Tommy! And thank you to all of our sponsors and to all of our fans, you guys are awesome. The support last night from all of you was tremendous!

2014 Introduction

Unfortunately, we have gotten off to a little bit of a late start to this season. But we are now in full swing with the 2014 race season. Our wheel man, once again, this season will be Tommy Bailey, from Corbin, KY. The entire Jp Motorsports team welcomes him back with much excitement and enthusiasm. Expectations are sky high this year, with Tommy piloting our 2014 Swartz Twisted Xtreme chassis. This season, however, does bring a major change to our team in its entirety. We have transitioned to the new Cornett Thunder race engine and absolutely can't wait to see what this thing can do. Also, we have brought some new sponsors on board this year. We would like to welcome E3 Spark Plugs, Meade's Do It Center, & Fauste Oil Services to the JP Motorsports family. We would also like to give tremendous thanks to Picker's Paradise for being a continuing sponsor and for supporting us throughout the last few years. We have plans of kicking the season off officially next weekend, May 2nd and May 3rd, at Ponderosa Speedway, in Junction City, KY. Thanks to all our fans and supporters. Hopefully, the 2014 season will be one to remember!
